We are committed to making Ames RAGBRAI a success and provide wonderful volunteer opportunities for the community. With a variety of positions, we have no doubt that the Ames community (and beyond) will work together on this exciting event.
We have more than 300 volunteer opportunities available over the course of the week. Whether you’re looking to volunteer for a few hours, a full day, or an evening, you can find something that suits your schedule. Volunteers must be 18+ for certain positions, children under 15 are welcome to volunteer with an adult.
Have yard space for a tent, RV, or even floor space? Hosting a rider might be a right fit for you! To connect with a rider/team, first, make an account or log into an existing account. Then, under “Host a Rider” filter through teams based on group types and accommodations available. Hosting a rider not only gives registered RAGBRAI riders a great space to sleep, but gives you the opportunity to create memories and connections that last for a lifetime!
The Ames RAGBRAI Town Hall meetings were held on Thursday, June 22. More information about the route, campground locations, street closures, downtown entertainment, and more were discussed. In case you missed it, check out the presentation or watch the recorded meeting below.
We have over 200 volunteer opportunities remaining for RAGBRAI. If you are interested in volunteering please visit DiscoverAmes.com/RAGBRAI-volunteer or email our volunteer coordinator, Veronica at veronicat@discoverames.com.
