The 2023-2024 performing arts series at Stephens Auditorium takes us from the Symphony Orchestra of Mexico to Broadway to ballet and more, with 14 events scheduled from October 2023 to May 2024.Â
Broadway musicals
- Jesus Christ Superstar (Jan 30): Tells the story of Jesus leading up to his crucifixion with a sung-through rock opera.
- Mean Girls (April 11): Â Based on the 2004 film, Mean Girls is a comedy that follows a group of girls through friendship and self discovery.
- Chicago The Musical (May 14): A tale of fame, fortune, jazz, and murder with amazing song and dance.Â
Tribute shows
- The Fab Four (Nov 19): A FABulous Beatles tribute. You’ll swear you are watching the real thing!Â
- MANIA: The ABBA Tribute (April 6): Two hours of uplifting, dance-inducing songs.Â
Music
- MinerÃa Symphony Orchestra of Mexico (Oct. 24): Excellent musical performance from the leading orchestra in Mexico.Â
- Mannheim Steamroller (Dec. 19): Christmas music from the #1 Christmas artists in history.Â
- Langston Hughes Project: Ask Your Mama: 12 Moods for Jazz (Feb. 8): Multimedia concert performance following Langston Hughes Kaleidoscopic poem suite.
- Chanticleer (April 5): A wide-ranging and spectacular show from “an orchestra of voices.”
Dance, Magic, and Theater
- Penn & Teller Present the Foolers (Oct. 1): Mind-blowing magical illusions from Penn & Teller, one of the world’s most famous magic shows.
- iLuminate (Oct. 21): Dance and technology combine to create a visual experience as seen on America’s Got Talent.
- Wild Kratts (Nov. 15): Based on the hit television series, follow the Kratt brothers as they stop a comical villain and rescue wild animals.
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Feb. 12): An adaption of four popular stories from The Very Hungry Caterpillar and others.
- Swan Lake Ballet (Mar. 21): A timeless ballet classic.
