After hitting some of the local shops in Ames, pull up a stool at Little Woods: Herbs and Teas’ tea bar to try four different kinds of artisanal teas in a tea flight.

Happy Hour pick-me-up

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere. Just a few minutes outside of Ames, sip on a glass of Honey Moon, a sweet red wine infused with the flavor of Iowa honey at Prairie Moon Winery.

Dinner and a drink 

Pizza and beer – is there a better combo? Stop in to Torrent Brewing for a laid-back dinner filled with locally-brewed craft beer and creative flatbread pizzas. 

Saturday night celebrations
