Trick or Treat Night at Dakins Lake Campground

Join us for Trick or Treat Night Dakins Lake Campground.

Enjoy the fall weather with some enjoyment at Dakins Lake Park on October 17, 2026 from 5-7PM. Bring you kids to enjoy festivities around the campground. Campers are encouraged to join in the fun by decorating their camp sites. Prizes will be given for Spookiest site. We hope you’ll join us for this FREE event! Public is welcome, you do not need to be camping to participate.

  • Bringing major events that draw tens of thousands of people to our community including Boys State Basketball and Campustown Showdown

  • Providing top-tier service before, during and after each event

  • Helping advance tourism developments like CyTown and The LINC
  • Advocating for tourism with elected officials- Local & State
  • Driving converstations on a new Fieldhouse in Ames
  • Collaborating with Ames Alliance, iTIP, City of Ames, ISU & Visit Boone County
