The Power of Small Things

Learn from artist and educator Tilly Woodward about why she chooses to create small, intimate paintings and her methods for creating art on a diminutive scale.

Free and open to the public. There is no registration for this program. In conjunction with the exhibition Small Pleasures: Tiny Art from the Permanent Collection at the Brunnier Art Museum through July 26, 2024.

Tilly Woodward is curator of academic and community outreach at Grinnell College Museum of Art, and founding director of the Pella Community Art Center (1989-2007). Her work has been exhibited in more than 191 museums and galleries nationally. She is well known for her highly realistic, meticulously detailed oil paintings.
