St. Patrick’s Day
Everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. Or at least pretending to be. Celebrate this year’s lucky holiday with these local activities in Ames:
Dublin Bay will open at 6 a.m. and serve breakfast until 10 a.m. The classic “Irish Fayre” menu is available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dublin Bay will be offering additional space for the event with a tented and heated patio for guests to enjoy. Events happening at the pub throughout the day include:
- 4 – 8 p.m., live music from Iowa-based singer Bruce Day
- 5 – 6:30 p.m., classic Irish dance
- 7 p.m., traditional bagpipes
- 8 p.m. to midnight, Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos
Torrent Brewing Company will also host a St. Paddy’s Day-themed party. Enjoy $1 off pint-sized drafts of:
- Ames Light (gone green)
- “Maeve,” Torrent’s locally-brewed Irish Red
