Spring Break Day Out
10:30-11:30 a.m. Super Spiders
Fascinated or fearful? Discover spiders and other eight-legged critters you may encounter in Iowa. Separate fact from fiction and explore the superpowers of spiders. If conditions allow, we will go for a brief outing to search for spiders and webs. FREE event; no registration required.
11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Campfire Pi Making
Happy Pi Day! Bring your hungry belly and come make some delicious pie iron creations over a campfire. Each participant will be able to make one pie iron pizza and one pie iron dessert during the program. Registration deadline: Monday, March 11. ($8/person for lunch)
1-2 p.m. Animal EncountersÂ
Meet and greet our education animals. Get a brief introduction to Iowa’s reptiles and amphibians, followed by a casual Q&A opportunity with the animals. Possible encounters include a turtle, salamander, and/or snake. FREE event; no registration required.
