Spirits in the Gardens

Spirits in the Gardens at Reiman Gardens is a beloved Halloween event in Ames that offers a magical experience for all ages. The event features over 1,000 intricately carved pumpkins that light up the night, creating a mesmerizing trail for visitors to explore.

Children can delight in the joy of trick-or-treating on Saturdays and Sundays, while adults can savor the crisp autumn air with a cash bar available on Friday nights. This event is made possible by the dedication of more than 900 volunteers who come together to carve pumpkins on 10 different dates, showcasing the community spirit of Ames.
