Saved by Schindler: The Life of Celina Karp Biniaz
ISU lecture series
Celina Karp Biniaz is one of the last living Holocaust survivors who worked in Oskar Schindler’s factory during World War II. At only 10 years old, she was also the youngest saved by work in the factory. A new book by author B. Fredricks William chronicles Biniaz’s story from life in Poland to the Auschwitz death camp to Schindler’s factory to her move to the United States and education in Iowa. Biniaz will share her incredible story and what she thinks about the current movement toward embracing authoritarianism and demonizing minorities.
This event will be recorded and available for two weeks on the Lectures website at https://www.lectures.iastate.edu/recordings/available-recordings
