Pop-up Valentine Shop

The Workspace will host a Pop-Up Valentine Shop at the Memorial Union, Monday through Friday, February 9 through 13, 2026. Choose from a variety of adorable succulents planted in pottery from The Workspace, and personalize your plants with charming tiny animal add-ins. Complete your gift with a beautiful, marbled paper Valentine’s Day card created by local artist Rhonda Scott.

The Pop-Up will be open daily from 10am-2pm and located near the  University Bookstore entrance in the south atrium at the Memorial Union. The MU is on the Iowa State University campus, and hourly parking is available in the ramp adjacent to the building.

  • Bringing major events that draw tens of thousands of people to our community including Boys State Basketball and Campustown Showdown
  • Attending national trade shows and conferences to find new opportunities of events to bring to Ames
  • Providing top-tier service before, during and after each event

  • Funding feasibility studies for local projects
  • Helping advance tourism developments like CyTown and The LINC
  • Advocating for tourism with elected officials- Local & State
  • Driving converstations on a new Fieldhouse in Ames
  • Collaborating with Ames Alliance, iTIP, City of Ames, ISU & Visit Boone County
