Mary Merkel-Hess Gallery Walk

Enjoy an afternoon tour at the Brunnier Art Museum learning from renowned Iowa artist Mary Merkel-Hess (American, b. 1949) about her unique, nature-inspired paper sculptures. From her early studies and practice in metal that evolved into paper-based explorations of the world around her, to the nuanced collages she creates for fun, Merkel-Hess will give insight into her 40-year artistic career.
