Jo Stripling: A Retrospective Exhibition

Described as “abstract realism,” Jo Stripling’s acrylic paintings are lush with color and light. She painted a broad array of subjects – still lifes, figures, groves of trees and gardens, landscapes, her pet cats. Jo lived her adult life in Tallahassee, FL and passed away in 2012. This exhibit was curated by her son who lives in Ames and displays the last works that were in her home and studio. A number of paintings will be for sale.
