Jazz Night “Digits”
Numbers can do lots of things – organize, tally, structure, predict, measure, classify, categorize, design, connect. Jazz practitioners understand that successfully navigating an improvised solo can feel like Neo finally seeing the matrix. Jazz 2.0 and the ISU Jazz Combos play tunes whose titles are numerical, featuring works by Rob McConnell, Bob Reynolds, Pat Metheny, Oliver Nelson, Radiohead, Stan Kenton, and John Coltrane.
Admission is $10 for the general public. ISU students and youth under 18 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door prior to the performance.
