ISU Planetarium Show: The Planets

Our show theme this month is “the planets”. Each show will run approximately 30 minutes. Please plan to arrive early or stay late to enjoy hands on activities shared by volunteers from the Deparment of Physics and Astronomy.
The planetarium is located in the basement of Physics Hall. Volunteers and signage will be available to assist with directions. Parking is available near the building (lots 26, 36, 32, 30) and is free after 5:30 pm.

  • Funding feasibility studies for local projects
  • Helping advance tourism developments like CyTown and The LINC
  • Advocating for tourism with elected officials- Local & State
  • Driving converstations on a new Fieldhouse in Ames
  • Collaborating with Ames Alliance, iTIP, City of Ames, ISU & Visit Boone County
