Gold Star Hall Ceremony
The Gold Star Hall Ceremony is held annually around Veterans Day in November to honor and remember Iowa State students who died while serving in the U.S. military. The Gold Star Hall Committee selects recipients. The ceremony will share a powerful narration of each honoree’s biography. Family members, friends, faculty, staff, students and members of the public gather every year to pay their respects, and honor the sacrifice made by these individuals in service to their country.
At the 2024 ceremony, we will be honoring three service members and Iowa Staters:
Sidney Peterson
U.S. Army Air Force, World War II
Hometown: Ringsted, IA
Max Harvey Collins
U.S. Air Force, Korean War
Hometown: Nevada, IA
James Herrick
U.S. Air Force, Vietnam War

Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony. This event is free and open to the public.
