From Catch to Cuisine for Women

Cast, Clean, Cook!

Join us for a day of sisterhood, outdoor skill building, and delicious food. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a beginner, this hands-on experience will empower you with the knowledge and confidence to enjoy the outdoors and bring sustainable meals to your table. Learn the basics of casting and put it to use fishing at West Peterson Park. Afterwards, head to McFarland Park with us and Kori Heuss will guide you through the proper techniques for cleaning and filleting your catch. If we don’t catch anything, no problem, we have extra fish. Lastly, enjoy a cooking demonstration and fry up your fish. We will finish with a meal of your fish, lemon rice, and friendly conversation. You’ll leave with new skills, lasting memories, and an appreciation for sustainable food practices
