Community Ice Cream Social

Join AHM for free ice cream sundaes and kids’ activities! Free admission to the museum during the event.

Presented in partnership with Prairie Rivers of Iowa, in conjunction with the Lincoln Highway Association Middle Third Tour. Event sponsors: Marmalade Moon, Duck Worth Wearing, Moorman Clothiers. Children’s activities provided by Ames Community Arts Council.

  • Coordinating and leading Hotel & Attraction Council to keep them informed and up to date

  • Bringing major events that draw tens of thousands of people to our community including Boys State Basketball and Campustown Showdown

  • Helping advance tourism developments like CyTown and The LINC
  • Advocating for tourism with elected officials- Local & State
  • Driving converstations on a new Fieldhouse in Ames
  • Collaborating with Ames Alliance, iTIP, City of Ames, ISU & Visit Boone County
