Coffee Chat: Early Ames Canadian Connections
Enjoy coffee, pastries, and conversation at the museum. Peter Hallock will present a history talk on “Early Ames Canadian Connections,” exploring some of Ames’ earliest settlers who emigrated from Canada. After the talk, browse current exhibits – museum admission is included in the ticket price.
On November 13, Hallock will discuss Ben and Maria Read, who moved from Ontario, Canada in the mid-1860s and helped get the newly laid-out community of Ames off the ground.
Tickets are $15 and include continental breakfast, history talk, and museum admission. Advance reservations required.
