Central Iowa Symphony: A World of Voices
The Central Iowa Symphony season begins in glorious style with a smorgasbord of music from around the world by composers whose voices are rich with the influences of their homelands. From the colorful Cambodian folk tunes of Chinary Ung’s Water Rings Overture to the sensuous rhythms of Piazolla’s Milonga del Angel, this is a program that celebrates diversity music. To top it all off, the Central Iowa Symphony welcome soloists Julie Fox Henson and Jonathan Sturm for a performance of one of Mozart’s most beautiful works for soloists and orchestra.
