Bonsai Show
Saturday, Nov. 9, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
This year’s theme, “Bonsai, Fall Color and Silhouette,” showcases deciduous conifers and tropical trees as the growing season comes to an end and dormancy begins.
What to expect at the show:
This event will showcase some of Midwest’s finest Bonsai trees, antique and contemporary pots, stands, and accent plants. You will also find Bonsai-related items for sale from vendors as well as a wide range of things at the Iowa Bonsai Association’s bazaar tables.
Iowa Bonsai Association members will be on hand to answer any questions and discuss all things Bonsai. Saturday, there will be a formal demonstration in the auditorium from 1-3 p.m. moderated theater-style focusing on seasonal work. Sunday, from 1-3 p.m., we will have informal demonstrations in the auditorium.
While attending, guests are welcome to explore the opening of the RG Express Train Exhibit in the Hughes Conservatory.
Pre-registration is not required. Free for Reiman Gardens members and ISU students. Cost of admission for everyone else.
