Artist Lecture: Karen LaMonte

Have you seen the body-less kimono on ISU’s campus? How about the gorgeous, translucent glass gown inside Morrill Hall? Come admire them and meet the major international artist behind them (and many other in-demand works), Karen LaMonte, who will be speaking in Ames for one night only.

With a career spanning three decades, artist Karen LaMonte has explored sculpture through various media, drawing on themes such as beauty, gender, and nature. Inspired by societal perceptions of beauty, in this lecture the artist will share insights into her creative process.
