Artist Lecture: April Surgent

Artist April Surgent uses cameo-engraved glass and human-made debris to confront the environmental impact of climate change on the world.

The artist will present a lecture, “Exploring Climate Change in Glass” on Thursday, Oct. 12. She will discuss the inspiration behind her new commission for University Museums’ permanent collection, her unique expression of environmental change, and experiences participating in several prestigious research fellowships.
