Art Sale from the Memorial Union Rental Collection

Spruce up your home or office with art from the Iowa State Memorial Union. The long-time Art Rental program is discontinuing this year, so over 200 framed posters and prints will be for sale at ISU Surplus the first week of August. There is a range of sizes and styles starting at $10, and most pieces are available for $25-$45. ISU Surplus is located at 925 Airport Road in Ames.

Tuesday, August 5 from 10am – noon
Open to ISU departments, ISU Research Park, state-funded entities, and recognized non-profit agencies

Wednesday, August 6 from 9am-3pm

The Art Rental program started in the mid-1970s as a way to make art accessible to more people by being affordable and temporary – a niche market in a city and on campus continually in transition. The collection has served hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and community members over the years, and at its peak included close to 300 pieces. The program has been self-supporting, and in the last 15 years, any surplus has supported the Memorial Union Art Gallery exhibits.
