America 250 Along the Lincoln Highway Heritage Byway

Two days of talks and tours highlight Iowa as America celebrates is 250th year.

Farm House Museum (601 Farm House Lane, Ames)

Built in 1860, the Farm House was Iowa State University’s first building and has been central to the development of campus, Iowa State heritage, education, innovation, and national policy. This special America 250 exhibition honors key people, moments, objects, and experiences centered within the Farm House through more than 250 primary source objects that trace the land-grant university’s heritage and the nation’s evolution.
