Ames Main Street Farmers’ Market
The Ames Main Street Farmers’ Market is back! Kick off your weekend every Saturday from May through October with a stroll through the heart of downtown. With over 70 vendors offering everything from fresh produce and handmade goods to live music and activities for all ages, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Not sure where to start? 515 Days
Celebrate life in the 515-area code during 515 Days in downtown Ames. On May 15th and 16th, enjoy a Food Truck Showdown with a variety of tasty options and vote for your favorite to win the trophy. Explore family-friendly activities, local business specials, and extended hours throughout the district.
Pizza Pie Looza
Get ready for a slice of fun at Pizza Pie Looza on May 10 in Nevada. It is a day packed with food, music, and fun for all. Kick off festivities with a 5K, then chow down on the best eats from local vendors. You will not want to miss the two headliners, Terri Clark and Black Hawk, with special guest Bryan White!

The live music scene in Ames is a hard one to beat. From intimate concerts and open mic nights at the Maintenance Shop to Bandshell’s grand stage, there is something for every music lover. There is no shortage of live performances to keep you grooving all month long.
Spring Enchantment
Wander through the gardens bursting with over 50,000 blooming tulips and daffodils during Spring Enchantment. Hunt for hidden fairy doors and creature homes in a charming scavenger hunts perfect for kids. Take advantage of all the spring photo ops around every corner. Do not miss the chance to step inside the Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing and experience the beauty of up to 800 butterflies. Spring Enchantment ends May 12.
