Discover Ames welcomes Bonnie Alley as its new business development manager. In this role, she will assist in development and execution of the team’s sales plan, generate leads, and develop and maintain service provider relationships for the organization. She will also assist with events and provide community outreach.
Bonnie is well known in Ames and surrounding communities. She was the general manager of Ames Comfort Inn & Suites and a former general manager of Sleep Inn. She has been a co-owner of her family’s business, Alley’s Pizza of Nevada and Story City, for two decades. She’s a former Ames Chamber Ambassador and served on the Discover Ames Board of Directors.
“In my new role, I’m looking forward to staying connected to people in the community,” Bonnie said. “I’m excited to show our visitors all that Ames has to offer. I really do live and breathe Story County.”
Bonnie loves to bake, and her baked goods have won many awards. She received first place for her elaborate wedding cake at America’s Baking & Sweets competition in 2015.
