Andy Moore serves as the director of marketing and communications at Discover Ames, where he leads the marketing team and helps showcase everything that makes Ames a great place to visit. From creative strategy and brand development to photography, digital marketing, and social media, Andy enjoys finding new ways to tell the story of Ames.
Andy joined Discover Ames in September 2021, bringing more than a decade of experience in graphic design, marketing, and creative communications. He stepped into his current role in May 2025. Born and raised in central Iowa, Andy has always appreciated Ames as a beautiful and vibrant community. Now, he gets to help visitors and locals alike discover (and rediscover) all that the area has to offer.
Andy loves new experiences and encourages others to join him, whether that’s checking out the latest brewery, hiking a new trail, or listening to a local band. Outside of work, he enjoys photographing weddings alongside his wife, tackling home improvement and woodworking projects, taking road trips, and wrangling his kids.
