RAGBRAI Housing in Ames

Ames RAGBRAI will provide camping space in the official RAGBRAI campgrounds. For those desiring other accommodations, you may request housing through this site. Please remember that RAGBRAI is a camping event and housing is limited. Please read the following before filling out the housing request:

What you should expect from your Ames host:

A place to put a tent outside OR inside floor space for a sleeping bag
Access to an indoor toilet and shower, if possible
A water source to fill your water bottle

What you should NOT expect:

To have full use of your host’s home
Transportation or entertainment
Towels, soap, and shampoo
Use of laundry facilities
Snacks, beverages, or morning coffee
These things are at your host’s discretion!

To request housing:

Create a profile and complete the housing request form (link is below).
Ames residents will have the ability to view your profile, send a message to the group leader with their contact information, and make necessary arrangements for the overnight stay.
Be sure to retain your host’s name, contact information, and address because this information is NOT stored in this system once you are matched.
Housing matches are NOT GUARANTEED.
