Sweets, treats, and desserts tour of Ames

We all get a sweet tooth from time to time. The next time you find yourself craving a sweet treat, indulge in these best-of-Ames delights:

Crumbl Cookies

First, try the weekly rotating cookie flavors at Crumbl Cookies. Crumbl Cookies made its debut in Ames last fall, and has been a staple sweet treat since.

Hickory Park

Next, grab a classic old-fashioned malt at Hickory Park. Their delicious ice cream creations, including sundaes, shakes, and floats, have been an Ames tradition since 1970. You can’t go wrong!

Chocolaterie Stam

Sometimes all you need is some chocolate. Head to Chocolaterie Stam for European-style chocolates and creamy gelato – and a box of chocolates for the road.

Cookies, etc.

Need a taste of nostalgia? Try the cookies that taste just like mom’s at Cookies, etc.

ISU Creamery

Take the scenic route through Iowa State University’s beautiful campus to try ISU-themed ice creams, like Two Swans and Campanile Kiss, at ISU Creamery – all handmade by Iowa State students. These treats are rich in flavor, and in history!

Marmalade Moon

Lastly, try Marmalade Moon’s made-in-house ice cream in unique flavors. While you enjoy your treat, browse their wide selection of gifts and goodies!
