- At Barefoot Campus Outfitters, located just down the road from Dogtown University, find trendy Iowa State and Midwest-inspired clothing and accessories.
- On campus, head to the Iowa State University Bookstore to pick up everything Cyclone at the ISU Bookstore: apparel, home décor, tech, textbooks, and school supplies.
- Or head to Cy’s Locker Room in South Ames to shop the official store of Iowa State Athletics.

Get Competitive
After stocking up on your game day necessities, head to Perfect Games. It has you covered with bowling, laser tag, miniature golf, and dozens of arcade games. Chow down on Kingpin pizza while you bowl. Or head to North Grand Mall, where you will find Inside Golf and Games, a sports hub with golf simulators, duckpin bowling, axe throwing, and baseball simulators.

Spend your afternoon working on your golf game at one of the three public courses in Ames. Hit the links at Coldwater Golf Links 18-hole course, check out Homewood Municipal Golf Course, or work on your long game at the Veenker Memorial Golf Course driving range.
Catch the big game
No matter the time of day, pick a seat at the bar to catch the big game at any of these local Ames’ favorites:
- Located in Campus town, Welch Ave Station is beloved by locals and students alike. This bar is filled with dart boards, pool tables, and of course, TVs.
- Brick City Grill is an upscale sports bar with 15 beers on tap, a selection of craft, specialty, local, and imported brews, and signature cocktails so you won’t go thirsty. Plus, the wide variety of food has something for everyone (including one of the best burgers in Ames!).
- With a large selection of local and craft beer, craft cocktails, and a menu filled with comfort food, Sweet Caroline’s has everything you need for game day in downtown Ames. Not to mention the game loft and 15 TVs inside the restaurant (plus two on the patio).
