Spring of Ames
The community is warmly invited to the Spring of Ames 2026 Benefit Concert, at Ames City Auditorium on Saturday, April 18 at 6:30pm. In its second year, this concert will showcase award-winning young classical musicians from across Iowa. Ticket proceeds will benefit KHOI Community Radio,supporting its mission to provide diverse, community centered programming. General admission tickets

The evening’s program will feature an exceptional lineup of high school performers and music students from Iowa State University, many of whom are All-State musicians and prizewinners in prestigious competitions, including the Terrace Hill Competition, IMTA, MTNA, NATS, and Young Artist auditions with regional symphony orchestras. The concert highlights the dedication, artistry, and promise of the next generation, offering these talented students a valuable platform to share their gifts.
“Spring of Ames is both a celebration and a gift,” said event organizer, Cinian Zheng-Durbin. “It honors the hard work of young musicians and the devotion of their teachers and mentors, while bringing our community together through the joy of music and a shared commitment to a cherished local institution.”
