Safe in the Sun 5K/10K Run

For the third year, the Central Iowa community is coming together to raise awareness and funds for melanoma research with the Safe in the Sun 5K/10K Run. This annual event, hosted by the Cancer Bucket Foundation, will occur on Saturday, May 3, at 9 a.m. at Ada Hayden Heritage Park in Ames.

Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or a supporter of the cause, the Safe in the Sun Run offers a meaningful opportunity to help in the fight against melanoma and skin cancer. This event supports The Cancer Bucket Foundation, a nonprofit that funds melanoma research and promotes skin cancer prevention.
