O.W.L.S Canada / Greenland Trip

O.W.L.S programs are designed for “boomers” or older, but anyone is welcome to attend. Doors open at 10 a.m. for coffee/tea and chatting.

SCC Board Vice-Chair, Dr. Nancy Franz, will present about her recent trip abroad. Discover select outdoor and cultural highlights of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and two Greenland towns. Savor local plants, trails, lighthouses, landscapes, and more. Be prepared for amazing views, travel joy, and an iceberg or two!

  • Helping advance tourism developments like CyTown and The LINC
  • Advocating for tourism with elected officials- Local & State
  • Driving converstations on a new Fieldhouse in Ames
  • Collaborating with Ames Alliance, iTIP, City of Ames, ISU & Visit Boone County
