ISU Percussion Ensemble Concert
The Iowa State University Percussion Ensemble will present a free public concert on Saturday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. in Martha‑Ellen Tye Recital Hall. This dynamic program highlights Percussion of the New Millennium, featuring seven exceptionally musical, physically demanding works composed within the last 26 years.
Audience members will experience a wide spectrum of contemporary percussion writing—from atmospheric soundscapes to high‑energy, rhythmically driven pieces. The concert will also include a special appearance by the ISU Percussion Techniques Class, performing a contemporary pedagogical ensemble work that showcases emerging percussionists exploring modern approaches to rhythm, timbre, and ensemble coordination.
