Illuminate contemporary dance concert

The first-ever Illuminate contemporary dance concert will take place on Feb. 10 at Ames City Auditorium. The goal is to cultivate dance in the community, give today’s Dancenter dancers an opportunity to perform an evening-length piece, and bring back working artists to showcase their work. It is important to give contemporary dance artists a platform to return to the Ames community and to show the next generation of dancers what is possible.

Illuminate will include professional choreography, as well as performances by the current Dancenter dancers  and aspiring dancers throughout the Ames community, including young K-5 students.

Ticket prices:
$5 children (up to 12)
$10 adult (13+)
$25 family (including 2 adults and up to 3 children)

This event is a recipient of a 2024 Discover Ames Community Grant.
