Halloween Spook-Tacular
Join us at Hickory Grove Park’s Breezy Bay Campground to celebrate Spooky Season as well as enjoy one final weekend of camping together for the 2023 season!
TRICK-OR-TREAT: Campers are encouraged to participate in handing out candy for our younger ghouls and gals. Trick-or-Treating will take place Saturday, Oct. 28 from 7:30-9 p.m. The public is invited to trick-or-treat! Each campsite that hands out candy will be rewarded with a gift certificate for one free night of camping at any Story County Conservation campground during for the 2024 season.
CAMPERS: Join in the fun by showing off your Halloween spirit by decking out your camper/RV with its own costume! We expect to see Halloween inflatables, lights, gravestones, and smoke machines, and hear spooky tunes and witches cackling. The winner of the campsite decorating contest will receive a gift certificate for one free night of camping at any Story County Conservation campground during the 2024 season. Judging will take place at dusk on Saturday, Oct. 28. We encourage campers to have decorations up by Saturday morning.
*Note – All treats must be store-bought and individually wrapped. Campers need to sign a waiver with the Camp Host in order to participate. Once waiver is signed, camper will receive certificate for one free night of camping next season.
