Fifth & Clark Fridays: Lani

Tonight’s Fifth and Clark Fridays concert will feature Lani.

Lani is a Colombian-American singer/songwriter and self-taught keyboardist and accordion player based in Des Moines, Iowa. Always at her disposal have been her catchy melodies and lyrical hooks, with a delicate yet powerful voice that has the power to touch every heart it comes across. Through her compositions, Lani captures the vulnerability of the human soul, while simultaneously incorporating the upbeat, energetic rhythms rooted in Colombian culture.

Being born in Florida, raised in Des Moines, Iowa, and being a first-generation child of Colombian immigrants, Lani has never quite fit in with any particular group of people. Her mission is to connect to multiple communities through her songwriting and her performances.

All of our Fifth and Clark Friday’s concerts now have beer, wine, soft drinks, and concessions for sale during the events. Admission for these events is $5; students can get 2-for-1 admission by showing their student ID at the door
