Math concepts in art are waiting to be discovered during this outdoor adventure through Iowa State’s public art collection. Sydney Marshall, a curator with University Museums, will lead families in exploring campus sculptures together using the interactive NumbersAlive! Book.

Perfect for curious minds of all ages, this guided walk turns outdoor art into an experiential math lesson. Look closely at the sculptures. Ask questions. Hunt for geometric shapes, patterns, and mathematical concepts hiding in plain sight. Team Ten characters and the STEM Squad lead the way with thought-provoking prompts that spark conversations between kids and grown-ups.
