Earth Day Appreciation

Through a partnership between the City of Ames, ISU Office of Sustainability, and KHOI Community Radio, the sixth “Earth Day on the Airwaves” event will be broadcast from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. The event will include live call-ins from the Ames Water Plant Open House, as well as updates on the annual Stream Clean-up, Stash the Trash, No-Charge Yard Waste Day, Iowa State University sustainability initiatives, and City of Ames departments including Public Works and Parks and Recreation.

Listeners should tune into KHOI-FM Community Radio at 89.1 or stream at www.KHOIFM.org to hear about sustainability efforts throughout the community.
