Ames has been selected as the home of a new event that celebrates agriculture, community, and regional businesses in the heart of Campustown!
The Campustown Showdown, presented by MaxAg, a one-of-a-kind cattle show and community celebration, is set to debut in Ames, on April 25-26. Modeled after the successful Aggieville Showdown in Manhattan, Kan., this inaugural event will bring an exciting mix of agriculture, entertainment, and community spirit to the heart of Campustown.
Our unique cattle show will feature a Grand Drive event where exhibitors are vying for cash prizes and the opportunity to show their top market beef and breeding heifer cattle in the streets of Campustown on Welch Avenue. This event is more than just a cattle show—it’s a celebration of Iowa’s leadership in agriculture, innovation, and community.
