Brookside Park 100th Anniversary Celebration

A well-loved and popular destination, Brookside Park, 1325 Sixth Street, has delighted Ames residents and visitors for the past century. Nestled between Downtown Ames and Iowa State University, the 82-acre park is a notable example of our long-standing town-and-gown collaboration.

Join us from 10 a.m. to noon for activities, tables, displays, ice cream, Ames water, an electric vehicle display and test drive opportunity, and more at various locations throughout the park.
At 11 a.m., there will be a brief program near the Hickory Shelter and a ribbon-cutting with the Ames Kiwanis to celebrate a new fire department-themed playground.
