Art Exhibit and Reception for ‘Serious Play’

The Memorial Union Art Gallery is hosting an exhibit by Iowa City artist Alexandra Ackerman, whose mixed media artwork creates a dialogue with color, pattern, and form. The show, titled Serious Play, will be on display Aug. 21 through Sept. 29. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. A reception will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 5-7 p.m.
