Story City Greater Chamber Connection

We are the Story City Greater Chamber Connection, and we take pride in bringing our community together in ways that feel genuine, welcoming and full of small town charm. Our work centers on supporting local businesses, strengthening connections among neighbors and creating moments that make Story City feel like home. You can find us just a short drive north of Ames, close enough for a quick visit and far enough to feel like a refreshing change of pace.

Each year we host events that our whole town looks forward to. Our signature celebration is Scandinavian Days, held during the first week of June. During this weekend, our streets fill with music, food, a parade, games and plenty of Scandinavian flair. When summer rolls on, we bring everyone back together for the Duck Race and BBQ, a lighthearted fundraiser that always gets families and friends smiling along the river. These traditions, along with other gatherings throughout the year, help us keep Story City lively and connected.
