Our Story

The Moorman Clothiers story began with Scott Moorman’s dream of owning a clothing store. On April 1st, 1993, Scott and his wife Susan opened for business in downtown Mason City. Moorman Clothiers quickly became a fixture of Mason City’s retail community.

In 2009, the store underwent some major changes and moved across the Mason City Plaza to make way for the historic Park Inn Hotel, the only operating hotel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

On September 1st, 2005 the Moorman family opened their second store in downtown Ames, owned and run by Scott’s eldest son Justin.
