DESCRIPTION:The Iowa PGA Spring Junior and Pee Wee Open will be held April 18-19, 2026. Round one will be held at Ames Golf & Country Club and round two will be held at Veenker Memorial Golf Course.\n**NOTICE: This is a Major Point event on the 2026 schedule. It is recommended that 18-hole registrants for this event be intermediate to advanced golfers to eliminate slow play and to make it a fun event for all participants.**\nStart Time are all approximate:\nRound 1: 9:30 AM tee times off #1 and #10 older divisions first\nRound 2: 9:00 AM tee times off #1 and #10\nFormat:\n9-hole stroke play for Boys 11 & Under and Girls 13 & under each day\n18-hole stroke play for all other divisions each day\nTEES:\nDay 1 (Ames G&CC):\nBoys 14-18 will play the BLACK Tees\nBoys 12-13 and Girls 14-18 will play the GOLD Tees\nBoys 11 & Under and Girls 13 & Under will play the WHITE Tees\nDay 2 (Veenker):\nBoys 14-18 will play the GOLD Tees\nBoys 12-13 and Girls 14-18 will play the WHITE Tees\nBoys 11 & Under and Girls 13 & Under will play the RED Tees\nPlayers should always be checked in at the registration table and ready to go on their tee 10 minutes prior to their tee times.\nFor directions and practice round information, please contact Ames Golf & Country Club and Veenker Memorial (515-294-6727) directly.\nIf you need to WD from the event, are placed in the WRONG division, see spelling errors or have any other questions, please contact Tess or Jacob in the Section office at 319-648-0026 or tgoudy@pgahq.com, jhesner@pgahq.com, or bnewell@pgahq.com.\nSpecial thanks to Tess Balsley and Greg Dingel, PGA at Veenker and Scott Nugent , PGA at Ames G&CC.\nSpecial thanks to Justin Thiele, Katie Kramer and new sponsor Discover Ames for thier support.\nEntry fees will include golf and range balls both days.\nLunch and all other food/beverage items will be available for purchase both days.\nSpecial thanks to Bushnell Golf / Camelbak and their sales rep John Novosel for their support as presenting sponsor. PLAYERS WILL BE PENALIZED IF THEIR USE OF A RANGEFINDER IS FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN DISTANCE. THE FIRST USE OF A BANNED RANGEFINDER FUNCTION WILL RESULT IN TWO STROKE PENALTY, AND ANY SUBSEQUENT USE DURING THAT ROUND WILL RESULT IN THE PLAYER’S DISQUALIFICATION.\nALL OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES MUST BE TURNED OFF AND STOWED IN GOLF BAG AND ARE NOT ALLOWED DURING PLAY. SUCH DEVICES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO CELL PHONES, IPODS, ETC.\nRefunds will only be given until April 14, 2026. There will be a $5 processing fee for cancellations in 9-hole divisions and a $10 processing fee for cancellations in 18-hole divisions. If you choose to cancel and accrue credit to your account, you may use these funds for a future tournament, during the current season. If funds are not used, they will be donated to the Iowa PGA Foundation – Burkart Scholarship.\n
