DESCRIPTION:The Iowa PGA Pee Wee Spring Open will be held on April 18, 2026 at Ames Golf & Country Club\nSpecial thanks to Scott Nugent, PGA, head PGA professional at Ames Golf & Country club for his support in hosting.\nSpecial thanks to Justin Thiele, Katie Kramer and new sponsor Discover Ames for their support.\nStart Time: Approximately 3 p.m. off #1 – Pee Wees will follow Juniors\nFormat:\n9-hole stroke play for boys and girls 8-13\n6-hole stroke play for boys and girls 7 & Under\nTee Assignments:\nBoys 12-13 will play the GOLD Tees\nBoys 10-11 & Girls 12-13 will play the WHITE Tees\nBoys 8-9 and Girls 8-11 will play modified Iowa PGA LIME Tees\nBoys and Girls 7 & Under will play modified Iowa PGA AQUA Tees\nYardages will be approximately as follows:\n8-9 Year Olds will play:\nPar 3’s at 100-125 yds.\nPar 4’s at 250-275 yds.\nPar 5’s at 275-300 yds.\n7 & Under will play:\nPar 3’s at 75-100 yds.\nPar 4’s at 175-200 yds.\nPar 5’s at 225-250 yds.\nPlayers should always be checked in at the registration table and ready to go on their tee 10 minutes prior to their tee times.\nFor directions and practice round information, please contact Ames G&CC directly at (515) 232-8334\nIf you need to WD from the event, are placed in the WRONG division, see spelling errors or have any other questions, please contact Tess, Jacob, or Blake in the Section office at 319-648-0026 or tgoudy@pgahq.com, jhesner@pgahq.com, or bnewell@pgahq.com\nEntry fee includes golf, warm up range balls,and awards for top 3 in each division.\nRANGE FINDERS ARE ALLOWED, BUT MUST BE USED FOR MEASURING DISTANCE ONLY. PLAYERS WILL BE PENALIZED IF THEIR USE OF A RANGEFINDER IS FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN DISTANCE. THE FIRST USE OF A BANNED RANGEFINDER FUNCTION WILL RESULT IN TWO STROKE PENALTY, AND ANY SUBSEQUENT USE DURING THAT ROUND WILL RESULT IN THE PLAYER’S DISQUALIFICATION.\nALL OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES MUST BE TURNED OFF AND STOWED IN GOLF BAG AND ARE NOT ALLOWED DURING PLAY. SUCH DEVICES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO CELL PHONES, IPODS, ETC.\nRefunds will only be given until April 14, 2026. There will be a $5 processing fee for cancellations – for ANY REASON. If you choose to cancel and accrue credit to your account, you may use these funds for a future tournament, during the current season. If funds are not used, they will be donated to the Iowa PGA Foundation – Burkart Scholarship.\n
