DESCRIPTION:Drop in to a free Repair Café at the Ames Public Library on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. -4 p.m. Volunteers will help repair broken items to give them a longer life cycle. There is no charge for repairs at the Repair Café.\nIf volunteers are unable to repair your item, or parts are required, they’ll help you find a local repair shop that can help. (If you have replacement parts, you can bring them with your broken item.)\nItems for repair must be at the Library by 3:30 p.m.\nWhat can you bring for repairs:\n\nSewing & mending\nComputers & laptops\nPortable electronics\nJewelry & accessories\nSmall home & kitchen appliances\nGarden tools\nBikes\nInstruments\nSmall engine repair\nHeadlight Repair (sign up required: bit.ly/AmesRepair24)\n\nMake sure to visit the Screen Printing Station from 11am-3pm under the Grand Staircase. Bring a clean shirt or tote bag and we will screen print the Ames Repair Café, Ames Seed Library, or Smart Watersheds logo on it for you!\n
