SUMMARY:The Birds of Ada Hayden Heritage Park
DESCRIPTION:Join the Ames Public Library and Outdoor Alliance of Story County for a presentation on the birds of Ada Hayden Heritage Park on Thursday, Feb. 29, at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium or online via Zoom. Presenter Wolfgang “Wolf” Oesterreich has recorded 283 avian species at the park, and will share photos of most.\nWolf is vice president of the Friends of Ada Hayden Heritage Park and rides his trike there every day possible, recording all avian, mammalian, amphibian, reptilian, Lepidoptera, and Odonate species that he encounters.\nHe also photographs six sites on the same day (or nearly) each month so that one can see how the habitat changes with the season and across the years.\nPresented in partnership with Ames Public Library and Outdoor Alliance of Story County.\n
