DESCRIPTION:Dance Marathon at Iowa State will host its second-annual Stacks for Stead Pancake Breakfast benefiting the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon on Iowa State University’s south campanile lawn. Students, families, and community members are invited to come and go as they please while enjoying unlimited pancakes, live music, family stories, and more. Tickets are available for purchase at the door or on Iowa State’s student organization marketplace $10 for students and children and $12 for members of the public.\nDance Marathon at Iowa State is the largest student-run philanthropic group on Iowa State’s campus, dedicated to raising money for the University of Iowa’s children’s hospital. Each year, DM hosts a big event in February to celebrate a year of fundraising efforts with members and families. Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, Iowa State Dance Marathon raised $164,398 for the UI Children’s Hospital, over $40,000 more than the year prior. Entering its 27th year on Iowa State’s campus, Dance Marathon at Iowa State has now raised over $5 million.\n
