DESCRIPTION:The Goldfinch Room announces the next Goldfinch on the Lawn featuring the son/father duo Sean M. Sullivan and Sean T. Sullivan on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m.  The concert will take place outside at the SE corner of Stephens Auditorium.\nSean Michael Sullivan grew up with mandolins and guitars in the basement of his split-level home in Cumming, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in 2010. He was immersed in bluegrass and folk music from the day he was born. Sean recently moved back to Iowa after living in Florida for 11 years and has released five singles since he has been back.\nSean Michael’s father, Sean Thomas Sullivan, is a well-established musician in the Des Moines area, and plays mandolin and sings in Black Dirt Ramblers. Sullivan’s high tenor vocals and incredible ability to establish harmony is one of his trademarks.\nTickets are available at the door for $10 or in advance for $7 by using this link ( https://www.center.iastate.edu/events/goldfinch-on-the-lawn-sean-michael-sullivan-and-sean-thomas-sullivan/ )\nThe event will be on the lawn and patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase and no outside alcohol is permitted into the area.\n\n
